Ultra4 USA 4800 Best Dam Race of the Year - Race Recap

Time for a little race recap. Van Schaik Racing hit the road to Oklahoma from Southern Ontario looking to get some Ultra4 USA experience and heck, I think we achieved that goal, and then some…

First, let's get to know who sits inside the 551. Meet Tom Van Schaik (the Driver) and Zach McKinnon (the Co-Driver.) We race together in the TMR Off-road Race Series in Ontario, Canada and brought the never-quit the race attitude across the boarder to Disney, Oklahoma.

Starting out strong, we one shotted it up the hard waterfall climb, later down the course the buggy took on water - hitting the water crossings a little too fast. We ended up having electrical and throttle issues for the remainder of the race.

We kept going with perseverance and put laps down. We hammered down and completed 4 laps for a podium finish, securing 3rd place.

We’re looking forward to participating in more Ultra4 USA races next year!
